GET BAPE Year of the Dog Capsule Collection

prohbtd.com

Every December, without fail, we all talk about how much we can’t wait for the year to be over so we can usher in a much better, far less miserable new one. It never seems to work. Somehow, 2017 managed to trump all years prior in terms of disasters, of epic and minor proportions, general trauma and all-around anxiety levels. It’s only natural we’re especially dying to drop this year for a so-called fresh start. Later, Year of the Rooster. It’s been real. Bring on the Year of the Dog! People tend to like dogs way more than roosters, so this bodes well.

In keeping with their annual tradition, BAPE has released a capsule collection of basics celebrating the Chinese zodiac and the annual Lunar New Year festivities that come with it. (If you want to celebrate, too, mark February 16 on your calendar.) The range of graphic T-shirts, hoodies and crewneck sweatshirts in black, white and red feature the brand’s trademark APE accompanied by their mascot: Baby Milo. His cameo appearance is this time disguised as—what else?—a canine.
